Objective

To fund researchers across Ontario to study key road safety challenges and develop novel and actionable ways to make Ontario’s roads safer.

Eligibility

Funding through RSRPP is open and competitive for the following types of Ontario institutions: hospital research institutes, colleges of applied arts and technology, publicly assisted universities (including their affiliated colleges, research centres, institutes, and hospitals), and non-profit organizations located within Ontario.

The proposed study’s Principal Investigator (PI) must be a full- or part-time faculty member or employee of an eligible institution. An institution that is listed on MTO’s Vendor of Record for procurement services is not eligible for funding through RSRPP.

Because the Schulich Executive Learning Centre is a vendor of record with MTO, members cannot apply to this call. Schulich faculty members who are not part of the Executive Learning Centre are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

York University researchers are reminded that all applications for external research funding, including Letters of Intent, must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Research Services before they are submitted to the granting agency.  For internal approval, the application must be accompanied by a completed ORS Checklist, which requires the Dean’s signature.  Please send the complete application, with the finalized budget and a completed ORS checklist to sciapps@yorku.ca, five days prior to agency deadline.

ORS is accepting electronic applications – the process is outlined here.
