Fisher Fund Wine Tasting and Auction
Held in April at the Sunnybrook Estates in Toronto, the event benefits York’s Las Nubes Rainforest in Costa Rica, a project of the Fisher Fund for Neotropical Conservation.

Kenaidan-York University Chair's Cup Golf Tournament
Join us in June for a great day of golf and fundraising in support of York University's more than 5,000 graduate students. The proceeds will help create scholarships for graduate students and are matched by the Ontario government through the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) program.

Roger's Cup Tennis
Every August, the world's best tennis players converge on Rexall Centre at York's Keele campus to compete for the Rogers Cup. Men's and women's tournaments are held simultaneously in Toronto and Montreal. The tournaments alternate between the two cities, with the women's event taking place in Toronto in 2011.

Ready...Set...Mentor!
Based on the popular concept of speed dating, Ready…Set...Mentor! pairs York students with industry leaders from business, media, arts, entertainment, law, and government for one hour of five-minute, one-on-one sessions. Students ask questions and seek advice on a variety of topics ranging from career options to academics to life coaching. Ready…Set...Mentor! is held in September.

Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
A joint initiative between York University and York's Counselling and Disability Services (CDS), Team York University raises funds in support of an endowed bursary for students who access CDS. The team is part of the larger Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge that gives runners and walkers the opportunity to represent their favourite charitable organizations on race day in the five-kilometre, half-marathon and marathon events. This year, the marathon will take place on Oct.16, 2011.

Ernest C. Mercier Lecture in Entrepreneurial Science
In an effort to inspire and empower future generations of chemistry students at York, Eileen Mercier, a York graduate (MBA ’77), established this lecture series in her late husband's name. Bridging the worlds of business and commerce with the intensive research world of chemistry, the series presents an entrepreneur and renowned scientist who has used his/her own science education as a springboard to other enterprises.
