2005 Report to Donors

The York University Foundation’s third annual Report to Donors is a retrospective look at a year of inspired giving. Organized in four chapters—innovation, possibility, growth and give—this year’s report details a cross-section of exciting new gifts to York University.

As a result of private support, members of the York community enjoy enhanced facilities; interdisciplinary and collaborative research opportunities; increased student financial aid and the presence of renowned academic leaders in the classroom. The Randal Dooley Memorial Entrance Bursary serves an important role, by raising awareness about child abuse and the welfare of children in the community, while contributing to children's development through education. York University is pleased to work with the surrounding community and concerned citizens to ensure that all children in our community have a fair chance in life.

The Foundation wholeheartedly supports the review being led by the Honourable Bob Rae. York University Foundation’s submission focused on creating a philanthropic climate that will enhance the role the private sector plays, along with government, in producing educated and motivated leaders for tomorrow.
