The Elaine E. Brown Bursary will support student who demonstrate financial need with preference given to those who are enrolled in part-time studies and associated with the Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-Time Students. Recipients must be in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (formerly known as Atkinson College). Elaine Edith Brown (1937 - 2014) was a York University Atkinson College alumna (Class of '73) who completed her degree on a part-time basis. She was a proud teacher for 30 years and was always committed to helping students.
