What does WCAG 2.0 Level AA mean?

WCAG = Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, an international standard created by W3C. 

Some requirements include: 

  • Proper text alternatives (alt text) 
  • Keyboard navigability 
  • Sufficient colour contrast 
  • Resizable text 
  • Proper headings & structure 
  • Accessible forms & error messages 
  • No content that triggers seizures 
  • Captions for prerecorded videos 
  • Logical reading and tab order 
  • Cancel/undo actions where possible 
  • No time limits without warning
