Program(s) of Study: Law and Society
Project Supervisor: Annie Bunting
Project Description:
This research project examines how creative and community-based approaches are being used to drive sustainable change in areas such as food insecurity, poverty, climate change, and policy reform. The research highlights how initiatives are leveraging tools like art, storytelling, digital media, and grassroots activism to challenge stigma, promote gender equality, and advocate for inclusive policies. Through Participatory Action Research and Art-Based Methods, the findings reveal the transformative role of these initiatives in shaping both local and global change by African youth. This work highlights the significant impact of leadership in building more resilient and equitable communities. The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
