DARE Project: Understanding Barriers to Solar and Wind Energy Adoption in Africa
Program(s) of Study: International Development Studies
Project Supervisor: Nathanael Ojong

Amid population growth and technological advancement, the demand and need for electricity generation is becoming increasingly urgent, especially in African nations. Coming from a North African country myself, I found true comfort in answering several questions I frequently asked myself while growing up in Morocco. This DARE project has given me great satisfaction in the idea of being able to provide my native country with crucial information aimed at facilitating the sustainable adoption of wind and solar energy. I hope our research will serve informative and preventive purposes.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
