DARE Project: Secularism on the Move
Program(s) of Study: Humanities
Project Supervisor: Amélie Barras

I hope my research work will allow the world to understand the role that religion plays on legislation in Canada and show them the impact that the freedom of religion and conscience has on our day-to-day lives and the way we interact with others.

Project Description:

The SSHRC funded Secularism on the Move project analyzes the relationship between religion/secularism and policy in the Francophone world. My work entailed analyzing policy, legislation and legal cases in Canada, and how they are shaped by religion.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
