Project Description:
My DARE research project focused on Efficient Data Valuation for Machine Learning, specifically exploring how to quickly identify and discard low-Shapley-value data points to improve computational efficiency. The project involved designing and testing strategies to evaluate the importance of individual samples in training data, aiming to reduce processing time and resource usage without sacrificing model performance.The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
