DARE Project: Data rights at work: Identifying trends and improving protections for healthcare workers
Program(s) of Study: Human Resources Management
Project Supervisor: Hannah Johnston

We hope that developing a clearer picture of how electronic monitoring policies function and impact workers will improve policies and practices.

Project Description:

My research project focuses on identifying and understanding the labour management technologies increasingly utilized in the healthcare sector, evaluating the associated risks, and promoting the effective regulation of these systems through collective bargaining. Over the summer, I worked with my team to develop and code survey questions, interview hospital employees and administration, and analyze the resulting data.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
