Desmond Hart Memorial Book Prize

Five prizes are awarded for outstanding essays submitted in history courses; one for the best essay in a 4000-, 3000-, 2000- and 1000-level course by any student, and one for the best public history project at any level, if the evaluation committee judges the submissions to be of sufficiently high merit. Essays are nominated by course instructors. The award is in memory of Professor Desmond Hart, who died in 1972.
