Doreen Silver Prize in Philosophy

It will be awarded to the student with the highest standing in a 3000- or 4000-level philosophy course dealing with any or all of the following areas of philosophy: the British Empiricists, Logic and Scientific Method, Metaphysics and Ethics. Preference will be given to students in courses dealing with the British Empiricists.

Derek S. Hau-Guzmann Memorial Scholarship

The award will be given to the student with the philosophy essay in a third- or fourth-year course that most exemplifies the values of excellence and insight that Derek so cherished. The award may be withheld in any given year.

School of Information Technology Scholarship

Awarded for academic excellence to an honours Information Technology student who has completed a minimum of 87 credits and has achieved the best cumulative GPA in the honours degree program. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, and resident of Ontario who demonstrates financial need.

The Classics Award
