The Hedi Bouraoui Essay Prize is awarded to a Year 3 or 4 student majoring in French (language, linguistics or literature), who has written a meritorious essay in French.

Edward A. Beder Memorial Scholarship

Two scholarships are awarded annually to Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies students - one to a student majoring in economics and the other to a student majoring in political science. Both students must be entering the third- or fourth-year of their program. Some consideration will be given to demonstrable financial need.

Penny Jolliffe Scholarship in Communication Studies

The Penny Jolliffe Scholarship is intended to honour the communication studies major who has compiled the most outstanding record in his/her Year 2 of study at York. The recipient must be returning for his/her Year 3 of study.

Eric Koch Award

The award is given to a student in the second-year "Politics, Policy and the Media" course for the Communication Studies Program who has achieved top academic standing as recommended by the Course Director and is continuing on into third-year (minimum 54 earned creits) of the program.
