Waive a Required Withdrawal or Debarment
To waive the decision of required withdrawal or debarment, due to extenuating circumstances, to continue studies uninterrupted.
Required Forms/Documents
- Online Petition Application
- Statement of Grounds explaining your extenuating circumstances that have caused you not to be able to achieve the required minimum GPA. Explain how these extenuating circumstances have been mitigated.
- Academic Advising Appointment with your academic advisor to formulate an academic success plan and a degree checklist.
- Academic Success Plan including the following:
- Major(s)/Minor of intended program,
- New strategies study approach to ensure academic success,
- List all resources you will utilize to ensure required GPA is achieved,
- List of courses the student must/would like to take,
- List reasonable required grades/averages needed over those courses.
- Relevant Supporting Documentation regarding your extenuating circumstances are required to be submitted.
Important note: Students who are required to withdraw one year have the option to take fundamentals of learning and will be able to continue your study without interruption. You do not need to petition. Please apply via Fundamentals of Learning website (some conditions apply).
