Project Description:
The aim of this proposed research is to examine and generate knowledge on how group care workers respond to and manage violent or delinquent behavior among youth in group home care. Specifically, the study will focus on three types of behavior perpetrated by youth while in placement: (1) violence or delinquency directed at other youth, (2) violence or delinquency directed at staff, and (3) delinquency related to property damage or misuse.The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
