Student Counselling, Health and Wellbeing

Here you’ll find a safe space and access to health care professionals, peer health educators, and support staff collaborate to provide a range of health and well-being services that foster academic success, student development and an engaged community at York University.

Student Accessibility Services

Student Accessibility Services enables an accessible campus learning environment and supports students with disabilities. If you are a student with a diagnosed disability, or a temporary disability (e.g., broken arm, recovering from surgery, etc.) you can register with Student Accessibility Services.

Office of Student and Community Relations

The Office of Student Community Relations supports students impacted by critical incidents, facing personal crises, or other complex issues. The office is here to provide advice, referrals, training, alternate dispute resolution methods and provide other support students and their families may need.

Numeracy and Math Help

There are several resources for students looking for math help. The Student Numeracy Assistance Centre at Keele (SNACK) provides support to students in LA&PS courses that involve math, stats, and Microsoft Excel.

Multimedia Language Centre

The Multimedia Language Centre features computing labs, study spaces, a sound booth and more. Access photo, video and audio materials to supplement your language studies.

LA&PS Colleges

Find out more about the colleges – as a LA&PS student, you’re automatically affiliated with Founders, McLaughlin, Vanier or New College depending on your program – and what they have to offer.

Centre for Indigenous Student Services

Indigenous students will find a safe community space that offers academic, spiritual, cultural and physical support, including writing and learning skills programs, career counselling, workshops and mentoring.

Career Services

This is York University's centralized place to explore jobs, develop your career plan, find out about networking events and access career readiness resources.

Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-time Students

The Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-time Students offers a wide range of resources unique to these students, such as orientation events, mentoring and success workshops.
