The Find Your Path Series gives you the opportunity to meet York alumni and explore different academic fields to better understand what you can do with your degree. Through interactive virtual sessions, you’ll gain real-world insights and guidance to help you figure out what you want to pursue and feel more confident in your academic and career decisions.

BCOM
This session is designed for students interested in exploring pathways within the Bachelor of Commerce program. Offered in November 2026 through zoom (date & time TBD – stay tuned for the RSVP link!) You will learn more about what you can do with your BCOM degree from alumni and learn from those who are now working across a range of industries. Students will gain insight into how different specializations translate into career opportunities and what they can do with their degree. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, hear real experiences, and explore potential directions within business.
ECON
This session focuses on academic and career pathways within Economics. Offered in November 2026 through zoom (date & time TBD!), the session will connect you with alumni who have studied ECON and gone into diverse career paths. Through alumni insights and a Q&A, you will learn how your degree can be applied in the real world.
CRIM & LASO
Designed for those exploring degrees in Criminology and Law & Society. The session will be offered in January 2027 through zoom (date & time TBD), where you will meet alumni from these programs and learn about the various career paths you can take after graduation in areas such as law, social services, and policy.
Career decision-making process
Our final session in the series is tailored to students who are still exploring their options and feeling unsure about their academic or career decision. Offered in January 2027 (date & time TBD – stay tuned for the RSVP link!), this interactive session will focus on helping you find your strengths and interests by connecting you with working professionals and upper year students to gain the tools to explore different opportunities so you can make informed choices about your path!
