YU Explore Peer Mentorship

The YU Explore Peer Mentorship program is designed to connect new and first-year students to knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive upper-year students who have a drive and passion to help other students acclimate to university life at York. Our mentors are a great resource for peer-to-peer support as a new or first-year student and are excited to provide guidance, support, answers, and get to know you!

Undeclared major students, we’ve got your back!

Undeclared major (UNMA) students at York have unique needs. Often needing extra guidance, care, and a helping hand, UNMA students can benefit from information about academics, careers, finances, accessibility needs, accommodations, student clubs, associations, and ways to get involved.

UNMAs who are True Explorers may need extra support with course enrollment and career path exploration. UNMAs who are Temporary Detours and Determined Achievers may need extra support with program requirements, course enrollment, and general faculty information.

All UNMAs can benefit from their connection to a YU Explore Peer Mentor and the well-rounded support they can provide to students, from students who were in their shoes not long ago.
