Appointment of Interim Dean Kathryn McPherson
We are pleased to announce that Professor Kathryn McPherson has been appointed Interim Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS), effective September 1.
Kathryn McPherson is a feminist historian of women, work, health and sport, with a focus on the history of nursing. Over her more than 30-year career at York, she has held numerous leadership roles, and we have the utmost confident in her ability to lead the Faculty during this transitional period.
Please join us in welcoming Kathryn McPherson to this new role!

As the Fall term approaches, and course work starts to ramp up, visit the Writing Centre to get support for all your editing needs—essays, assignments, exams and more. Whether you prefer asynchronous or synchronous, they’re here to give you the one-on-one substantive feedback that’ll make your work the best it can be.
