Winter Well-being Week at York
Join us for Winter Well-being Week from March 24 to 28! The theme is “Embracing all Dimensions of Well-being,” which reflects York's holistic approach to well-being. We invite you to attend interactive workshops, activities and various learning experiences, including fitness classes, teaching kitchens, art workshops and so much more.
And if you want to explore tools and resources from the comfort of your own home, check out the Virtual Well-being Hub, offering six dimensions of wellness.

Discover Hidden Gems at the Nellie Library: Book Sale Fundraiser
Looking to grow your book collection or find your next great read? The Nellie Library is hosting Hidden Gems, a book sale fundraiser in support of Planned Parenthood Toronto, a community health centre that is youth-driven, anti-racist, culturally-responsive, queer- and trans-affirming and advocates for reproductive justice.
Books are $5 each, and your purchase comes with additional goodies! Purchases or donations of $15 or more also come with a Planned Parenthood t-shirt. All proceeds go directly to Planned Parenthood Toronto!

Do you know someone who is deserving of the LA&PS Outstanding Student Leadership Award or LA&PS Outstanding Student Volunteer Award? If so, submit a nomination below by Monday, March 31. If you think you are a great candidate, you can also self nominate!

The Ian Greene Award for Teaching Excellence – Call for Nominations
The Ian Greene Award for Teaching Excellence is an annual student-run award given to professors and teaching assistants in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. Hosted by the Student Council of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (SCOLAPS), the award nomination and adjudication processes are entirely organized by students.
Nominate a Professor or TA by April 4
SCOLAPS is also looking for five LA&PS students to participate on the Adjudication Committee, which will review the nominations and select the recipient.

The York University Black Staff Network Logo Design Contest
The York University Black Staff Network (YUSBN) is holding a logo design contest! Current students who self-identify as Black are invited to design a logo for YUSBN and enter their design for a chance to win a $250 prize!
Contest rules include:
- Entrants must be 18 or older
- Entrants must be a legal resident of Canada, excluding Quebec
Entrants must self-identify as Black and a part of African Diaspora

Speak Up: Engaging in Class with Confidence
Take an active role in your learning with this workshop designed to help you participate in class discussions with confidence. Discover strategies for preparing your thoughts, articulating ideas clearly and responding effectively in a supportive environment. VCP Presents: Show Choir
Vanier College Productions' Show Choir performs a unique show each year, comprised of new arrangements and mashups of Broadway showtunes and top 40 hits. The show is fully choreographed with costumes, lighting and all that jazz!
Featuring an opening performance by VCP’s Grad Choir, elections will include songs from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Turning Red, Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, The Drowsy Chaperone, City of Angels, Children of Eden, Shrek, Ragtime and songs made famous by Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Sonny and Cher, Meghan Trainor, Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga!

Vanier College Productions (VCP), in collaboration with Founders College presents LA&PS Got Talent. Come together, mingle and enjoy a showcase of our talented students within the LA&PS community.

Sign-up to perform and showcase your talents for a chance to win a York University Bookstore gift card!
Performances should be approximately 3 minutes in length and can consist of anything you consider to be your talent (e.g. juggling, stand-up, belly-dancing, magic, spoken word, singing, etc).
