John David McFarland Scholarship in Philosophy

The John David McFarland Scholarship in Philosophy will be awarded annually to third year students majoring in Philosophy on the basis of the student's second year grades. Selection will be made on the basis of academic excellence only. All domestic and international students are eligible for consideration.

James Laxer Award

The James Laxer Award will be awarded to a full-time student in the Department of Equity Studies who has earned a minimum of 54 credits, with a minimum GPA of 6.0 (B), and who demonstrates financial need.

History Department Merit Award

Two book prizes are awarded annually—one for the most distinguished Year 3 graduating student based on the highest grade point average in history courses, and the other for the most distinguished graduating Honours (Year 4) student based on the highest grade point average in history courses.
