16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence
York’s Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education is hosting events, talks, workshops and activities for York community members until Monday, Dec. 8 in recognition of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.
This year’s events will be focused on the theme, Ending Digital Violence Against Women and Girls, highlighting the urgent need to make online spaces safer, more inclusive, and free from harassment, abuse and exploitation.
National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, York is hosting a memorial ceremony to honour the victims of the Polytechnique Montréal tragedy. Community members are invited to attend and wear a white ribbon as a symbol of their commitment to ending gender-based violence.

The Quadrant Journal: Call for Submissions
Do you have an essay, photos and/or poems you want to have published? Submit to The Quadrant, the official LA&PS faculty journal that brings together the voices of numerous students in one creative and intellectual space.
This year’s theme Rewriting the Script, is about taking back the pen, challenging the stories written for us and creating new ones that reflect who we truly are. The Quadrant is your space to be heard.
