Deadline to Add Winter Term Courses

The last day to add a Winter term course is Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. This will be the final date students have unrestricted access to the registration and enrolment system.  

Review Important Dates for Fall-Winter 2025-2026 and connect with your Student Success & Academic Advisor if you’d like to discuss your academic plan or course selection. 

LA&PS Academic Advising Services for Winter Term Registration

Academic advising gets really busy at the beginning of each term, so it’s best to reach as early as you can before the term begins. 

Attending virtual or in-person drop-in session is the quickest way to connect with an academic advisor at the start of the term. 

Whenever a course is full or restricted, you will need to contact the department offering the course to see what your options are (e.g., be added to a waitlist, ask for permission to enrol). The Course Contacts Directory will provide you with department contact information. Please note that not all departments offer waitlists for full courses.  

When emailing for course permission, be sure to include the following information in your request: 

1. Name 
2. Student ID number 
3. Course code (i.e. SOSC 1000) and section 
4. Course catalogue # 

Please note that academic advisors cannot provide permissions for restricted or full courses.
