June 12, 2025 Issue
Hey Lions,
Summer is in full swing and campus is buzzing along with the bees!
June is a time to come together and celebrate the vibrant 2SLGBTQIA+ and Indigenous communities that enrich York University. June also means that Convocation is upon us. Congratulations to all LA&PS graduating students. Enjoy this special day and celebrate your amazing achievement.

Pride Month
This Pride Month, York University is proud to celebrate the contributions, ongoing accomplishments and activism of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Upholding its commitment to decolonization, equity, diversity and inclusion (DEDI), York remains dedicated to ensuring that fairness, respect and dignity are upheld for all - not only during Pride Month but throughout the year.
During the month we invite you to follow along on social using the hashtags #YUPride or #PrideMonth!

Indigenous History Month
June marks Indigenous History Month, a time to celebrate the rich history, cultural diversity and ongoing presence of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
We encourage you to take this opportunity to engage with the Indigenous knowledges, languages, practice and ways of being that Indigenous people bring to York and their importance to Canadian society.
