Considering Withdrawing from a Course?
The deadline for Year or Winter term courses is Monday, April 6. A withdrawal will appear as a “W” on your transcript but will not affect your GPA.
Review the Fall–Winter 2025–2026 Important Dates for full details.
If you’re thinking about withdrawing, connect with your academic advisor before the deadline to discuss your options. For step‑by‑step instructions, see the Enrolment and Registration Guide.

Get Those Gen Eds
All LA&PS degrees require 21 Gen Ed credits, and unfortunately, some students only realize they’re missing them once it’s too late to fix.
To see a list of approved Gen Ed courses, visit the York Course Website. If you're unsure whether you've completed your Gen Ed requirements–or you know you haven't–connect with your LA&PS academic advisor as soon as possible.
