As a new student, you are responsible for selecting and enrolling in your courses, as well as understanding your degree requirements. Our Academic Advising team is here to help you along the way! Please start by booking an enrolment appointment as indicated below.

- If you haven't accepted the offer yet, please do so.
- Follow instructions to "Book/Manage My Enrolment Appointment".
- Email lapsadv@yorku.ca if you have trouble booking an enrolment appointment or still have questions about enrolment after reviewing "Next Steps" below.
- Starting from April 1, new students entering Fall 2026 can review the YU START Enrolment Guide for New Undergraduate Students.
Note for Transfer Students: Booking an enrolment appointment is a necessary step for the transfer credit assessment process.
Note for students starting Fall 2026 direct from high school: You'll follow a self-led pathway for enrolment through YU START. An email will be sent 72 hours before your enrolment date with details on next steps.
Next Steps
Pay the Registration Deposit, which confirms your registration at York University and unlocks services you will need to start classes.
Submit detailed course outlines if required for transfer credit assessment (for Transfer Students).
Register for the LA&PS Orientation to connect with professors and peers, discover campus resources and supports, explore clubs and councils, and learn what to expect in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.
Explore the First Year Resources and Start Strong YU Webpage to find helpful information, connect with the Peer Support Team, learn about McLaughlin College’s First Year Experience events, and explore clubs and programs on YUConnect to enrich your campus life.
