Applications are now open for LA&PS Summer Internships. Attend an information session this January to learn more about the Internship Program, including academic eligibility requirements, the application and job search process, program expectations and fees.

Internship Program Information Sessions are taking place January 12, 15, 23, and 25.

There’s also a LA&PS Internship Program Drop-in Session taking place on January 18. Attend to speak with staff about any questions you may have.

Mark Your Calendars: Important Dates for Winter 2024

A few important reminders to keep in mind for the Winter Term:

• The last date to add a course without permission of the instructor is January 22, 2024.
• The last date to drop a course without receiving a grade for Y term courses is February 8, 2024 and March 11, 2024 for winter courses.

Book Your Graduation Portraits!

Graduation portrait sessions are back! New Paramount Studios will be on Keele Campus to photograph graduating students that want to commemorate their achievement with a portrait. Online bookings are now open for students graduating in the class of 2024 (at Spring Convocation).

To book your session: 

• Click the learn more link below.  
• On the New Paramount website select “Book” to register. 
• Register as a new user and get your passcode. 
• Re-enter and select “Keele Campus.” 
• Choose your preferred date and time. 

There is a $25 cash sitting fee required at the time of your appointment. Portrait sessions will take place at Founders College in Room 113.

Register Today to Study Abroad

Are you ready to travel to a new destination this summer? This is the final week to get your application in to join the Study Abroad Program for Summer 2024, so don’t miss your chance!

The LA&PS Summer Study Abroad Program team is excited to offer you eight faculty-led courses this summer. Earn up to six York University credits while studying and living abroad for up to one month with your friends and classmates.

Course applications are closing on January 19 at 11:59 p.m. so visit the LA&PS Summer Abroad website for more details and course information.

Vanier College Productions Presents: Karaoke Night!

Come join us and sing your heart out! Our free Karaoke Night will be held at the Fred Thury Studio Theatre.

To reach the theatre, just take the stairs or elevator on the east side of Vanier College up to the second floor.

Attention International Students: Join Our Virtual Study Meets!

Time management is a key skill that will set you up for success. Join us for this Study Meet to learn practical time management strategies and work with one of our International Student Success Ambassadors to put your knowledge into practice. 

January 18 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. | Virtual Session

This English as a Second Language (ESL) Café Study Meet session will provide key tips on academic English speaking and provide the opportunity to practice through interactive small and large group discussions. A resource sheet with practical tips will be provided to participating students.
