Final Exam material: the exam will concentrate on the winter term, it will be based on problems from the chapters covered for tests 4-6, and additional material for waves and electromagnetic waves covered between March 19 and March 31 (tutorial problem set for the week of the 29th). On April 5 (Easter Monday) there will be no clicker quiz. A problem-solving session will be held emphasizing this final course material.

Fall Term:

Oct 2; Oct 5; Oct 7; Oct 9.

Sample test 2 from F08: don't take it too seriously, particularly the last question on harmonic motion. Question 1 refers to projectile motion, Question 2 is relevant, Question 3 tests the 'area under the curve' ideas [emphasized more last year in the motion problem, we will do it in section 6.1 for the work integral]. test2 marking scheme from F2008. For this year's test 2 concentrate on chapters 4 and 5, particularly uniform and non-uniform circular motion, as well as gravity. The class notes go well beyond what's given in the text, study the Calculus based derivation of the centripetal acceleration (direction and magnitude derivation!) There will be also a question from chapter 6.1. test2 formula sheet.
