Participate in the 2025 Automotive Innovation Challenge (AIC)

This 2-day hackathon empowers students to tackle real-world mobility and automotive challenges through hands-on learning, workshops and expert mentorship. Top teams will pitch their ideas to industry leaders for a chance to win the exclusive 'Dinner with the Executives’ Award ($500 value) and the opportunity to engage in a career mentorship discussion with industry leaders.

The Chantel Dunn Memorial Award

Are you a changemaker in African-Canadian communities? You may be eligible for the Chantel Dunn Memorial Award, which recognizes students who demonstrate leadership in making a difference. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, residents of Ontario and must demonstrate financial need.   

To be considered for this award you must have completed your Student Profile in the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) platform, including a completed Needs Assessment for the current study period.

The George Hopton Award 

This award is intended to recognize and encourage students with special needs or circumstances. Awarded annually, applicants must be pursuing their first degree, completed at least 18 credits in LA&PS, have a minimum overall GPA of 7.0 and majoring in any of the following fields: Humanities, Religious Studies, Social Science, Sociology, Social Work, Gender or Woman's Studies.  

To be considered for this award you must have completed your Student Profile in the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) platform, including a completed Needs Assessment for the current study period.

This year’s conference offers a dynamic blend of virtual pre-conference sessions and an in-person conference experience, giving you the flexibility to engage in the way that works best for you. The 2025 Alchemy Lecture: Sound–at the Interregnum 

Join us for The Alchemy Lecture, a multi-vocal model that annually gathers a constellation of thinkers and practitioners from different disciplines.  

This year’s lecture will be delivered by four renowned Alchemists: Glen Coulthard, professor, writer and co-founder of Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning; Madeleine Thien, professor, writer and librettist; Canisia Lubrin, professor, poet, novelist and editor; and Immanuel Wilkins, saxophonist, composer and arranger.

Indigenous Lecture Series

Join us for this year’s Indigenous Lecture Series titled Rematriating Justice: Honouring the Lives of Our Indigenous Sisters. Delivered by Dr. Jennifer Brant, founding director of the Indigenous Literatures Lab and an associate professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, this lecture will introduce Matriarchal Worlding, an Indigenous feminist orientation for ‘rematriating justice’ and upholding the power and place of Indigenous women and girls.
